Terms of Service

By joining the membership club you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound to these terms of service.

1. Identity

1.1.  You do not need to provide your identity if you join the membership club. But if you’ve paid for gold or a higher tier you will be restricted to a single channel until you have identified yourself.

1.2.  You do not need to provide your identity if you join as a guest or as a silver tier member.

1.3.  To provide your identity you need to register at the Metanet ID platform (https://metanet.id/) with the same email that you used for this platform Metanet ICU.

1.4.  A Paypal button/link will appear on your user profile (https://metanet.id/user) after you have registered. You will need to click this button/link.

1.5.  You will be charged a one time ever £10 fee for this service.

1.6.  Please allow up to 24hrs for administrators to confirm your payment, verify you and change you to a full member.

2. Refunds

2.1.  In general we operate a strict no refunds policy.

2.2.  You can only get a refund if you have accidentally double-clicked within 5 minutes of a primary click (joining or renewal). We will refund your lowest fee payment.

2.3.  Or clicked two different tiers within a 12 hour period, in which case we will ask which membership tier you want to be refunded.

2.4.  There are no refunds if you get removed from the membership club for whatever reason.

2.5.  There are no refunds if you leave the membership before your membership time is up.

2.6.  There are no refunds for any other reason.

2.7.  Management has sole discretion to overturn refund terms of service to determine whether you are trying to play silly buggers (trying to cheat the system) and have no refund, or whether management feels you should get a refund.

3. Leaks

3.1.  Members are free to share Craig’s (CSW) words from the main channel (bitcoin-general), they are also free to share Joel’s (JoelDalais) words.

3.2.  Other members words can be shared for context alongside Craig or Joel’s words, but their username and profile picture must be edited out.

3.3.  Other members profile picture and/or username can be shared if the member is specifically asked and permission given.

3.4. You must ask the member for permission if you want to copy anything from any other channel, including from Craig or Joel.

3.5.  You will be given a warning, strikes or removed if you break any of the leaks rules, management will decide based up severity and whether its a first time or keeps occuring.

3.6.  Partial doxxing of members by using their name and/or picture profile may result in immediate removal from the membership.

3.7.  Intentional doxxing will result in immediate removal of membership.

4. Trolling

4.1.  Trolling will not be tolerated.

4.2.  Members trolling others will either be warned first or strikes given, excessive trolling may result in an instant 3 strikes.

5. Harassment

5.1.  Harrassment is in the eye of the beholder. If someone complains that you are harrassing them then it will be investigated.

5.2.  If another member asks you to stop any untoward behaviour towards them, then you should probably stop, but you can still ask management if its unwarranted.

5.3.  Harrassment and continued harrassment can result in strikes, or being temporarily moved to the #cage channel, or removed from slack, or the membership.

6. Forums & Slack Access

6.1.   Though it is given to all members when they join, membership does not guarantee you forum or slack access.

6.2.  Your forum or slack access might be restricted or removed if necessary (deemed by management).

6.3.  In these rare cases, your membership might still be valid, and your form and slack access might be restored at a later time.

6a. Slack Usage

6.a.1.  You are expected to thread your replies to the same topic – Slack Threading.

6.a.2. You are expected to keep on topic in threads.

6.a.3. Only use the Also send to #channel when deemed absolutely necessary.

6.a.4. If you are posting a new topic then start a new thread/post in the relevant channel.

7. Actively Participate Against BitCoin or the Membership Club

7.1. We watch the entire sector, if you are found to be actively working against bitcoin and/or the Metanet ICU (Metanet Membership Club), your membership may be terminated without warning.

8. Strikes & Removals

8.1.  We operate on a 3 strikes and you are out policy.

8.2.  If warranted, you might receive a warning, or 1 to 3 strikes.

8.3.  You might instead, or as well as, be changed to a single-channel member and moved to the #cage channel for a given period of time.

8.4.  Strikes will disappear over time if you do not get any more strikes within that time.

8.5.  Generally, 1 strike will disappear after 1 month of good behaviour.

9. Anarchists & Anarchy

9.1. Bitcoin is a capitalist system.

9.2.  We do not tolerate anarchy or anarchists, you can join, but you are expected not to bring your views into the club.

10. Superseding of ToS & Legals

10.1.  Management reserve the right to update or supersede the terms of service and policies at will.

10.2.  You agree to be held liable if intentionally leaking information, whether to the public sphere, or to be used in court cases against members.

10.3.  You agree to pay damages and costs if found liable by a court of law, in your own area or within the UK.

10.4.  The membership club will assist in any law case as prudently necessary, but only up to a point where it does not infringe on innocent members rights.
